Greater Rochester International Airport covers 1,136 acres of space and currently has three runways to accommodate all the terminals air traffic comings and going. On average, there are 162 aircraft operations per day split up amongst general aviation, air taxi service, commercials airlines as well as military use. The airport is divided into two concourses even though the entire terminal is on a single level. In the main part of the terminal, you'll find airport basics like baggage claim, ticketing, car rental counters, information desks, gift shops and of course a security checkpoint. You'll also find food, drink and retail concessions like McDonald's, Subway, Dunkin Donuts and much more. Once you pass the security checkpoint, you'll go to either Concourse A or B depending on the airline that you've booked your ticket with. In addition to commercial airline flights for passengers, ROC also has plenty of cargo that comes in and out of the gates and terminals. On the northern end of the airfield itself, there is a specific cargo terminal run by US Airports and has 3 cargo buildings, two hangars and an administrative building. This are handles Southern Air Inc. operated by DHL Shipping Services, as well as FedEx cargo carriers like FedEx Express.
ROC Concourse & Gate Info
- The Greater Rochester International Airport currently has two concourses with departure gates spread across them: Concourse A (also referred to as Frederick Douglass Concourse) and Concourse B (also referred to as the Susan B. Anthony Concourse) Concourse A has gates numbered from A1 to A11 and are serviced by Air Canada, American Airlines, American Eagle, JetBlue and Southwest Airlines. Concourse B has gates that are numbered B1, B2, B2A and B3-B10. The carriers found here are Allegiant, Delta Airlines as well as United Airlines.
